Richmond Heights, Bath
This site comprised two long back gardens that had not been developed previously due to the existence of historic restrictive covenants. We were able to successfully deal with these and to put together a fully integrated planning application for two detached properties that addressed issues relating to trees, landscape, ecology and relationship to adjacent properties.
Working with BBA Architects, the houses were designed in an ‘Arts & Crafts’ style with carefully chosen materials. Councillors on the Planning Committee were brought to the site by Senior Planning Officer’s to see an example of how new development can be successfully integrated into an existing landscape setting.

The other principal consideration with this site was to accommodate the concerns and requirements of the vendors, to ensure that our development did not detrimentally affect their existing houses. We worked very closely with them to ensure a successful outcome. Please see testimonial for one of the landowner’s viewpoint of this process.
